Picture shows close-up of silver gilded branches tree holding our Swarovski Lead Free crystal chains. If buying loose branches alone, crystal is not included and must be added separately. Our unique Brown or Gilded, artificial Manzanita branches Make easy 5' - 6' crystal trees or centerpiece trees.

Faux branches are available in Brown or already Gilded in Silver or Gold. You can also spray paint any of them matte or natural colors such as brown, white or even two-tone. Use 2 - 4 of them (2 silver shown) for making a "crystal tree" or for tree centerpieces hung with real or silk orchids or other flowers.

Will Your Arrangement Need 1, 2 or 3 Branches?

The branches are not arranged on the trunk in a 3 dimensional manner (branches coming out in all directions from all angles), which means in some cases you may need to use 2 - 3 branches together for a symmetrical and nicest look. Two branches makes a wider arrangement and three, even wider and fuller with more arranging possibilities. One branch alone would look horizontal or "flat" (not wide from all anglews) UNLESS, you arrange the outer branches inward so that it does not appear wide from the front and narrow from the side. Closing the outer branches in means you lose width, but gain a more natural appearance. This type of one branch arrangement looks best if a symmetrical fresh floral arrangement is done at the bottom or base with the branch in the center. You can then hang flowers spiraling around the branch up to the top or hang a few blooms in the branch. Finish it off with some big crystal balls or octagons or a few crystal ropes draping down.

How to Use One Branch Alone

We HAVE seen one branch arrangements done by florists and event planners using our fine branches. They usually look best in conjunction with orchids, roses or other flowers at the base. They basically create a regular arrangement in a container or cylinder at the bottom, insert one branch in the center and then hang a few mor flowers up the branch and up in the branch. With the addition of a few crystal ropes hanging down, from the branches, a lovely centerpiece is created using just one branch. In this case, we suggest closing the branch a little instead of open it's widest.

Shipping Benefit of Artificial over Real

If purchasing many for centerpieces, these chic, faux branches ship at a fraction of the cost of the same quantity and size of REAL branches because they can squeeze together, making for more fitting in the box and saving you UPS shipping cost money.

Product Use

Branches can be shaped, extended out, in, down or up. The tiny upper parts of the branches are flexible and cannot support heavy items, but can hold chords, paper, leaves or flowers, birds, butterflies, etc. Larger parts are firm and can hold 1', 2' or even 3' (1 yard) crystal ropes or other heavier items.

Dimensions

Comes to You COMPACT & Tightly Closed, not Open Wide

You will receive them tightly closed, approximately 1/4 of their actual size, to make for a smaller shipping box.

Our branches are not "rubber", but the outer coating holding the paint/color is latex. There are some cheap branches out there that can't hold the weight of crystals, but ours (as our pictures prove) can. These are the best artificial branches you will find anywhere.

They are so well designed, although they appear much likereal branches that have been gilded silver or gold, they are actually a type of hard foam resin with a latex material covering the outside of the branches and forming the tips of the tiny branches. The smaller branches are a white polymer inside. Overall, the finished branch appears hard from top to bottom. The thicker "trunk" part of the branch has a very thick, hard pole inside that will only bend with strength (like a knee for example) applied to it while bending.

Larger branches have considerable "shape-ability" when done with strength and care. This allows you to raise, lower, move in our out, the larger branches. Their firmness allows them to hold the shape you give them, unlike other branches that are too wimpy or floppy. If you damage a branch, you can repair quickly and easily with putty (we recommend a brand) and re-paint the damaged area or the whole branch (unlike with real manzanitas). We have sold to event planners and florists who tell us they love these branches, re-paint them numerous colors, dozens of times and re-use them again and again for different events, giving them a new look each time.

Hang crystals, crystal chains or other heavier items only at the bases of each branch where the tiny branches join into a thicker part(not on the tips; just as you would have to with real manzanitas). The tips of the branches are soft and flexible and can only hold lighter items such as real or silk flowers). Thicker parts of the branches are wired and firm for holding heavier items.

If not hanging real orchids, but you intend to create a crystal tree reminiscent of Crystal Tree Project #1 (the one with the long ropes of crystal), separate each 2 foot chain into 2 chains and hang them from the bases of the branches. You won't be able to hang as many chains on these artificial branches as on real branches, but fewer chains, spread further apart will still create stunning centerpieces or focal trees.

Crystal Trees are Hot

Unbelievable for Winter Wonderland, Fairytale or Cinderella theme events and superb for any type of wedding decor. Great for Event Planners, decorators and florists since they can be re-painted different colors, repaired, re-used again and again unlike real branches which lose branches over time and are difficult to handle and store.

Spray-Paintable for Matte or Natural Colors

Prices are per branch. The gold is a true, metallic, brassy yellow gold in person (looks more subtle in the picture) and the silver is a true, metallic silver. They can be used metallic silver or gold as is or you can spray paint antique gold (darker gold), brownish-bronze, tan, brown, white, whatever color you want using any versatile surface spray paint that states it adheres well to various materials including metals and woods.

Dimensions approx. 58" inches tall and width approximately 36" inches* if fully extended outward. They ship to you much narrower and closed tight. You open them. All dimensions are approximate.

Safety/Liability Benefit of These over Metal Trees

Heavy metal trees with their metal branches being knocked over by pulling the table cloth, bumping the table or otherwise falling over can cause injury to guests. Enough said.

How to Use Them To Make Centerpiece Trees

Photos show two branches placed together. For a crystal tree, use two, or better still, 3 branches intertwined together to make one symmetrical tree. 3 branches make a more symmetrical centerpiece than two since branches are relatively flat on one side. If using two, we recommend not simply placing them back to back, but intertwine them together with branches from one coming through branches of the other. This forms a more tree like appearance than laying them back to back.

Secure them with decorative stones in a tall cylinder or tall vase.

Can hold loose crystals dangling from ribbon or chord or crystal chains hung on thicker parts of branches. Unbelievable for Fairytale or Cinderella theme events and superb for any type of wedding decor. Superb for Event Planners, decorators and florists since they can be used again and again.

Unbelievable for Winter Wonderland, Fairytale or Cinderella theme events and superb for any type of wedding decor. They are not supposed to look ordinary, but "surreal" or dream-like and they deliver. Place two or 3 braches in a tall vase or glass cylinder.

To achieve even more height for altar side trees for example, add decorative white or colored rocks, colored decor glass or sand to a tall glass cylinder or pedestal and place the branches near the top for the most height. With a 24" - 36" tall vase or cylinder, once you add these 4.75' foot (approximate height) branches, you have a full 5.75' - 6.75' Foot tall tree.

Use these stunning, dream-like branches bare in a vase or glass cylinder or adorne them with real or silk orchids, loose crystals on ribbon, decor leaves or some of our Fairytale theme decor garlands or large, colorful fairytale butterfiles. The possibilities are endless, let your dreams be your guide. Branches can hold lightweight items such as flowers, vines, leaves, ornaments, etc. Note, if using ropes of crystal, hang them on the thicker parts of the branch. They can hold our standard 1' lengths of crystal, 2 linked together to form a 2' rope or even 3' ropes of fine crystal.

As with ANY tree centerpiece, real wood, simulated or metal, care should be used if hanging votives since you are dealing with fire. As with real trees, you do not hang candles anywhere near any branch, but far below the lowest branch (see Preston Bailey's real tree projects shown on our site). Wood trees can catch fire as can artificial if one is silly enough to hang the candles close to the branches or trunk of the tree. Anyone who doesn't understand this, probably shouldn't be trusted with matches! Most venues do not want flames on tables these days, so we suggest (no matter what type centerpiece, including real, artificial and even metal, that you use flickering, amber flame, battery candles).

Note: metal trees can tip if table-cloth is pulled or if table is bumped since the tree weight can't be adjusted as with using a planter or vase with rocks inside, etc.) Metal trees have heavy, sharp branches which can injure as well as dump candles onto table or guests. Any event planner or florist using candles with real flame should request a signed liability waiver since even metal trees with candles can cause fires.

Florists, Interior Decorators and Event Planners Note:

These simulated branches are far safer than metal because the branches won't injure anyone if God forbid, someone somehow yanks a table-cloth or crashes the table and knocks the tree over. Using artificial branches secured in a heavy glass stand (such as the one we use in our Complete Crystal Tree Sets) or other heavy glass cylinder, vase or pot, then weighted inside with rocks makes it more bottom heavy than a metal tree. Weighting the bottom properly provides more weight on the bottom, where it's needed most. With typical metal trees, the weight is mostly distributed top to bottom on the tree, then by hanging lots of glass votives, you actually make that weight distribution worse. By hanging on the candles, you create more top-heaviness instead of needed bottom-heaviness. Artificial tree centerpieces, properly done, are significantly bottom heavy and far lighter on top. Up to 90% of the weight will end up on the BOTTOM, since the branches are far lighter than metal. Great for stability. Metal trees look less natural and have a far greater percentage of total tree weight up top.

Are Metal Trees Break-Proof? Nope. They warp and bend and sometimes break like anything else can. They can eventually lean and become less stable over time. We carried the metal trees long before others and discontinued them due to cracking and coming apart of the metal at the connecting points of the branches (where you attach the branches) and at the base of the vine-like "foot". Once the welding points break, there's no re-attaching them with glue or anything like you can with artificial or even wood branches. With metal, it's not fixable ... unless you're handy with a blow torch or work as a welder.
