International Orders

We do ship most items internationally.  We ship crystals to most countries such as U.K., Canada, South America, etc. The information on this page is specific to International orders only. All other store policies which apply to all orders, are posted on our general "Store Policies" Page of our site.

Minimum Order

International orders now have a $100 product total minimum.  Due to the extra handling which includes filing of customs documents including certificate of origin, customs delaration, etc. (required  for overseas shipping), we can no longer process orders with a product total below $100 (before shipping cost is added).  This also helps the customer becaause shipping is higher and more items can fit in most boxes without affecting the shipping cost.  For example, cost to send 10 crystal chains to Australia is in some case, the same as sending 50 crystal chains to Australia. 

How to Place an International Order

All international orders must be placed by internet which allows us to capture your I.P. address and to be sure your order is filled as requested since there are no returns on international orders. 

Add items to shopping cart and continue through checkout, however the shipping cost reflected will not reflect actual shipping cost to your country which would be much higher than U.S. rates by ground. In the "comments" box which you will see during checkout, please type "please email me corrected AIR shipping cost to my country".

You will Not Be Billed Until You Approve S&H by E-mail

Orders are not charged automatically upon submitting your order, but are examined individually before cards are charged.  We would see that your order is international,.  We would then weigh the items, determine box size, etc. determine the rate including customs documentation preparation and insurance cost and email you within 24 hours or less (in most cases).  This email would contain delivery cost to your country for your approval in writing from the same email address given in the order BEFORE charging your card anything. If you disapprove, the order is cancelled without charging you.

Include Your Card Bank Phone Number in Your Order

Please include the Phone Number from the back of your credit card for your bank in your order information.  We call the cardholder's bank to verify the billing address information before processing the order.

Large $ Value International Orders

In some instances, we cannot accept payment by credit card, depending on how high the shipping cost is to a particular company for a particular order and also on the dollar value of the order.  Due to international fraud and our lack of recourse over great distances in cases of fraud, some orders cannot be accepted by credit card.  We will notify you if this is the case.  Some orders will also require the order to be signed and faxed or emailed back to us (as an attachment) along with a copy of the back side of the credit card used, in addition to the online order.

We answer our e-mails many times per day. We do our best to respond to e-mails within 1 - 4 hours. This is the preferred method for contacting us, because it allows us time to provide complete and correct answers to your questions. It also provides a record of all contacts between us. It is also best because our business comes mostly by internet.

Again, the number does not always work for most countries outside the use, however, you can try to call us Toll Free (877) 484-4675   (We Mail No Paper Catalogs / Brochures).  We can't return calls outside U.S.  so if you call and do not get a live person, leave your message including your email address for an answer to your question or try again.

Terms of Sale on International Orders (more on Store Policies Page)

Basically, orders shipped outside the continental U.S. or to other countries are always final sale, non-cancellable and non-returnable.  We cannot guarantee foreign Customs Office clearance times. 

We estimate the travel time to your country only.  Some packages can be held for days, even weeks in some countries.  For fastest customs clearance, request your items be sent Fedex instead of Postal Service Express Mail.  The cost is more, however, customs clearance usually goes smoother and faster from our experience.   Duties/Tarifs (if any) are not included and are not paid to us and would be payable to the carrier upon delivery.  Please note that Fedex would not normally collect duties/tarifs upon delivery but would send a separate bill later.  We cannot determine if or how much any duties could be, if any. We are not responsible for duties/taxes of any kind.

International Duties, Taxes or Tariffs

These do not apply to all orders or in all countries. We do not and cannot determine if you will or will not have any of these. It is determined in your country and is not paid to us.   You would be contacted upon delivery of your package to your country if any are due.  Packages unclaimed for any reason, may be destroyed by the carrier at customer's expense. Ethereal Decor is not responsible for any International Customs Department Issues.

Unclaimed Packages

Due to much higher shipping costs, International orders are final sale. If packages are not claimed for any reason once it arrives to you, customs department may keep or destroy the package. We are not responsible and would not be able to refund if you changed your mind.

We Can Do No Currency Conversions

We can do no currency conversions. All prices and totals are given in U.S. dollars only.

Customs Dept. Loss or Damage Issues

Customs departments in many countries will sometimes open your packages to inspect.  This is apparently done randomly, not on every package.  We are not responsible for any items damaged or lost by customs department.  Any claims for lost or damaged items must be made with the carrier such as UPS or USPS.  We will assist you with the claim, but all compensation must be through the carrier.

Swan Vases Shipped Internationally

Swan vases shipped outside of the continental U.S. only are shipped at the customer's risk of loss or damage in shipping, transit, by customs agents, etc. For orders shipped outside the continental U.S., we cannot ship free replacements or refund for damaged items received due to the much higher expense. Such orders ship at the customer's financial risk of loss or damage. This does not apply to orders shipped WITHIN the continental United States.

If you do not accept and understand these terms or need clarification, you agree that you will not place your order until you do. By placing an order by phone, internet, mail or fax, you demonstrate that you accept these order terms. Please e-mail your questions to us at: info@etherealdecor.com.

We will always be fair and honest with our customers and rely upon the honesty and integrity of our customers and hope that most of them will do the honest thing as well. We truly appreciate your business and your understanding.

Damaged Items

Damaged items are extremely rare. We pack well.  With the exception of hand blown swan vases, we have never had damage on an international order. On U.S. orders we have shipped more and had damage only two or three times over many years as of April, 2011.  It almost never happens.  In any case, damaged items  must be returned to us at customer's expense or we must be supplied with convincing digital images of damages within 24 hours of delivery date on file with the carrier.  All other store policies are posted on our general "Store Policies" Page of our site.

Litigation

If we must sue a customer for payment of merchandise for any reason including unwarranted charge-backs, the dispute will be litigated in and settled by the court systems in the county of Guilford, state of NC, USA.
